Meet Alfie

Strength-based guidance. Delivered through WhatsApp.

Closed Beta — Limited to 50 Families

Practical support for
neurodiverse families.

Meet Alfie — an AI thinking partner for parents of neurodiverse children, delivered through WhatsApp. Strength-based guidance that learns your family's story and supports everyday decisions, one clear step at a time.

Parents & caregivers Limited-duration beta Teen gateway — future programme

We're opening access to 50 families to shape how this evolves. Parent gateway now. Teen gateway coming in a future programme.

About Spectrum Alpha

Founded by a parent. Designed for families.

Spectrum Alpha is a UK-based social enterprise based at St John's Innovation Centre in Cambridge, England. Founded by the parent of a neurodiverse child and built by a team drawing on two decades of experience designing support systems for people in crisis settings around the world, we are dedicated to building the unique potential of neurodiverse youth.

We believe every neurodiverse child has strengths worth discovering, skills worth building, and a future worth investing in. The name reflects our focus on Generation Alpha — the first generation growing up entirely in the digital age — and the full spectrum of the way young minds work.

Our AI companion, Alfie, gives parents practical, evidence-informed guidance grounded in a strengths-based approach. No jargon. No overwhelm. Just one helpful step at a time — through WhatsApp, whenever you need it.

The Foundation

Built on guidance, not guesswork.

Alfie speaks from a curated library of over 400 specialist-reviewed entries covering autism, ADHD, executive function, sensory needs, school transitions, and the everyday moments families navigate. Every response is grounded in this library. The teen and parent versions of Alfie draw from separate guidance sets, so a fourteen-year-old asking about a hard day at school gets a different answer than a parent asking how to support them through it.

Reviewed by specialists. Written for families.

Memory

Week six is more useful than week one.

Alfie remembers what your family has shared. Strategies that worked last month inform suggestions this month. The sensory triggers your teen mentioned in week two are remembered when they come up again in week ten. Over time, Alfie becomes less generic and more yours, shaped by the patterns of your household rather than averages drawn from strangers.

Private to your family. Always editable. Never sold or shared.

Reflection

A monthly view of what's working.

At the end of each month, families receive a private report summarising the themes Alfie noticed, the strengths that came through, and the areas worth focusing on next. It's a quiet way to step back and see progress that's easy to miss day-to-day. Families receive the first written record of their child's growth that doesn't come from a school or a professional service.

Yours to keep. Yours to share, if you choose.

How It Works

Two gateways. Parent beta open now.

Alfie works through WhatsApp and remembers your conversations, so the support becomes more relevant over time. The current beta opens the parent gateway to 50 founding families. A teen gateway is in development and will launch as a separate programme.
